Equis, a leading infrastructure investor in Asia-Pacific,today announced the launch of GreenPoint Energy (GPE), a wholly owned subsidiary focused on the development, construction, and long-term ownership of renewable energy and energy transition assets in Australia.

Melbourne, Victoria - 6 December 2025 - Equis Australia (Equis) and Victoria’s State Electricity Commission (SEC) have officially switched on the $1.1 billion Melbourne Renewable Energy Hub, marking a major milestone in Australia’s energy transition.

InfrastructureInvestor has named GreenPoint Energy’ Head of Investments, Roby Camagong, to itsinternational Rising Stars Class of 2025, recognising his outstandingcontribution to renewable energy and infrastructure investment across theAsia-Pacific region. Roby is one of only 20 professionals globally to receivethe honour, and the first Filipino to appear on the list. He is also the onlyawardee based in Australia.

We’re excited to share that our Calala Battery EnergyStorage System (BESS) project has officially commenced construction.

GreenPoint Energy has reached financial close and commenced construction on the Calala Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), a 250MW/500MWh BESS, located in Tamworth, New South Wales (NSW). Calala BESS will be instrumental in supporting New South Wales’ renewable energy targets. With a power capacity of 250MW and an energy storage capacity of 500MWh, Calala BESS, has enough power to supply electricity for up to 115,000 homes during peak periods.

Equis was honoured to be invited by Kinaway Chamber of Commerce to attend the Wumindjika Welcome at the Australian Grand Prix. The morning began with a Welcome to Country, a traditional dance by Koorie Youth Will Shake Spear’s, and The Little Long Walk, led by Bunurong Land Council and The Long Walk Trust. We had the privilege of meeting Michael Long to discuss the incredible work of The Long Walk, which continues to inspire and advocate for First Nations people.
